My newest book, The Anthropocene Reviewed, is a memoir masquerading as a book of essays, and today it comes out in paperback. It was the strangest and most joyful writing experience I’ve ever had–my first time trying to write as myself, and trying to understand the way I look at the world rather than imagining how someone else might look at it.
